Main Journey in Elante Mall Chandigarh
A Day to Relax at Elante Mall
After a day spent exploring Chandigarh’s iconic architecture, we decided to unwind at Elante Mall, the city’s massive shopping complex. The heat of the day (37–29°C) made the idea of air conditioning irresistible, and it was a perfect way to treat Julie and Sweetie for their patience during the morning’s adventures.
The mall greeted us with its impressive size and a bustling crowd of locals. Walking through the cool, air-conditioned halls felt oddly nostalgic—almost like being back home. It was refreshing and comforting all at once.
Shopping and Dining at Elante Mall
The mall had a variety of international brands, including a Zara, where Julie treated herself to a t-shirt. Each floor was expansive, making it impossible to explore everything in one visit. Thankfully, we found an information desk and quickly located the food court on the third floor.
The food court offered a mix of global cuisines, family-style restaurants, a movie theater, and even an arcade. We settled on a 325-rupee non-vegetarian buffet, but with dinner service starting at 7 PM, we had some time to kill. To tide Sweetie over, we ordered a mango shake, her favorite.
An Unexpected Turn
Just as we started enjoying the shake, Sweetie became visibly uncomfortable. Without warning, she began vomiting at the table. Panic set in as we rushed her to the mall’s baby care room, where we cleaned her up, washed her clothes, and tried to comfort her.
Thinking she’d feel better, we attempted to continue our meal, but Sweetie got sick again. Clearly, something wasn’t right. Prioritizing her health, we quickly packed up and left the mall, heading back to the hotel to monitor her closely.
